San Diego’s Newest and Spiciest Food Truck!

Just Smother It is based on three main ideas that are very important to the Romero family.

Fresh food is first and foremost, everything made on the truck is fresh bought daily and made to order. Second, the mentality of, “First impressions last a lifetime, “ Just Smother It, only has one opportunity to show a customer great service, and fresh, quality food made with care and love. Third, but not last, being humble and staying true to their roots. All of the recipes are handed down from generations of grandma’s who loved to cook for their family.

The green chili that Just Smother It makes comes from Colorado, where both Eric and Tamie were born and raised. Tamie learned to cook from her grandmother’s, Mary and Jenny, who would buy green chili’s from Pueblo, CO, picked and roasted, to give it that special, and unique flavor. Eric and Tamie are high school sweet hearts who married in 1999. They have three beautiful children, Raquel, Eric Jr, and Jacob, who will one day run the family business they have started. Eric and Tamie recently moved to San Diego in hopes of a new path in life, which became clear when they arrived here that there was no green chili in SoCal like at home. They decided that San Diego should be enjoying the wonderful, tasty, and spicy chili that they missed and loved so much.
